Ticket To Wellbeing
Published Sun 12 Jan 2025

Are you over 65, live in Tasmania and are listed on a Services Australia Health Care or Pensioner Concession Card?
If you are eligible, Ticket to Wellbeing is a government initiative to reduce the cost of sport for older people.
Some clubs and playing groups around the State have been accepted as registered providers. If your club or playing group is one of them, you as a player can sign up to the program and you will recieve 2 x $100 vouchers per financial year.
If you are not a member of Pickleball Tasmania, part of the first voucher is to be used to join you up. Your club or playing group will determine how the remaining money can be used to pay for playing sessions.
To apply for a voucher go to tickettowellbeing.tas.gov.au. Once you have your voucher numbers, present them to the treasurer or financial officer of your club or playing group.
Advice for club and Playing group administrators
All clubs can register with Department of State growth to become a provider and to claim back the value of vouchers. Go to the Ticket to Wellbeing web site and go to the "Activity Provider Information" then "Become an Activity Provider".
Playing groups can also apply to be registered for this program, even though they are not incorporated. If you go to the Ticket to Wellbeing website and state that you don't have an ABN and a link will pop up to a Statement by Supplier form. The box to tick is "The supply is made by an individual or partnership without a reasonable expectation of profit or gain". Once registered you can claim the money back for the presented vouchers.
